Started photography seriously in 1969 while in U S Navy. I wanted to paint acrylics in my off-duty time, and bought a simple Pentax camera to take photos to get ideas of what to paint. Photography quickly overtook painting as a main interest. Got my first Nikkormat camera from my fiancee for a Christmas present and started taking some classes.
I use Nikon equipment primarily and have just purchased my first mirrorless camera. Great for less weight, but I still enjoy all the options and creativity afforded by a wide range of equipment for DSLR system.
Primary interests are underwater, landscape and travel as well as commercial areas and moving toward some portrait series since I retired from the food service industry.
